BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT ME
I’m Maham Afzal. You know me as Pagesofscarlett, a book blogger, but most of you don’t know about me. A Medical College graduate from Karachi, Pakistan.
ABOUT ME: MY READING JOURNEY
I used to read books during my childhood days. but was never an avid reader back then. In fact, I remember, my parents used to have a subscription to an Urdu magazine for kids ‘ہمدرد نونہال’, so I and my siblings have a reading habit, instead of wasting our time in front of our tv-screens, watching cartoons or playing video games. I loved reading these short stories in Urdu but never got around to reading a published book. But I lost my reading habit, when I entered my 6th standard, due to academics. Even I used to dislike the novels that were a part of my curriculum, back at school.
ABOUT ME: HOW I BECAME AN AVID READER
I never read any novel since then, until I joined my Medical School. As a part of my assignment, I was assigned to read a novel from the provided list. The title Twilight by Stephenie Meyer caught my attention. I was glad, one of my friends had the entire saga, and I borrowed it from her. Even though our tas was redefined to Critical analysis of the classic novels only, the damage was done 😛
This is how I became an avid reader. If it wasn’t for Twilight, I would never found out about my obsession with books. And kudos to my friend who let me have her books, and to my other friends as well, who helped me out with establishing a bookstagram account, where I found my bookish family.
My journey as a book blogger started with the book, that too a borrowed one. But now 3 years later, I have around 500+ physical books and thousands of digital books with me.

MY INTERESTS
That was all about me. Regarding my bookish self. I love discovering new skills, apart from being a bibliophage.
So far I discovered my love for cooking, jewelry designing, DIY, and crocheting. My adventurous side loves to explore different countries, especially Turkey. Turkey is my dream destination.
