BEKHUDI- AN ASTOUNDING WATTPAD STORY REVIEW

DISCLAIMER:

Bekhudi, a book written by Namkeen (aka Salty), is a Muslim-representative story accessible for free on Wattpad.

I found Bekhudi on Wattpad when exploring it for Muslim stories, and it was placed among the top stories. This book’s cover is magnificent, and it enticed me enough that I had to give the content a chance. I’m happy I did because this novel is a masterpiece.

My opinions on this article are my own and may differ from yours. It gives me joy to share my reviews here. By any means, I don’t want to be the cause of anyone’s pain.

SUMMARY: BEKHUDI BY NAMKEEN (AKA SALTY)

Bekhudi (selflessness) chronicles Shanzay’s struggle through a patriarchal political system. The only thing she wants in her life is freedom. Working off in London, little does she know that a mere call will turn her life upside down.

Shanzay knows how to stay put, even in the worst of times. She has been aware of her role as a pawn in the political chaos her family has created since she was a young child. She was tricked into a marriage but stood her ground and accepted the marriage. Not only did she accept her marriage, but she also accepted her husband over time.

Aliyaar is a guy who wields absolute authority. He aspired to be Pakistan’s next prime minister and wanted to secure his position. To secure his position, he needed supporters; for that, he needed to collaborate with another political party. To provide Aliyaar with his grounds, his brother Sehryar agreed to marry the granddaughter of the Malik family. Neither did they know this proposal would turn the tables on them.

Shanzay wants freedom. Aliyaar wants power. What happens when their constellations are paired together?

This is a love story that delves deep into the nuances of family, relationships, and, of course, politics.

THE FASCINATING ELEMENT OF THE BOOK

Things that caught my attention and made me want to read the book…

  • The magnificent cover of this book has a pretty interesting cover.
  • An enchanting blurb—a blurb that will sweep you off the ground until you finish this one.
  • The plot- the storyline is something that you may have never read before.
  • Hunger for power- how power works in the elite system that this book introduces you to.

The novel is ‘A tale of love, heartache, treachery, and passion,’ as the author brilliantly defines the novel. And I think the description is spot-on!

Every chapter enhances the reader’s participation enormously since the author’s twists and turns are brilliantly described and put into the political drama. As a reader, I became engrossed in Shanzae and Aliyaar’s lives to the point where I felt apprehensive during tough moments and beamed with pride when they emerged stronger and more resilient than before.

The story’s secondary characters are equally crucial. Every character, good or bad, has a part to play, and the author does a fantastic job of portraying them.

CHARACTERS LIST

SHANZAY ABDULLAH MALIK

Shanzay is the youngest granddaughter of the Malik family. The strong-headed female protagonist merely wants the independence that she never had from her family. Shanzay’s freedom and ability to live a stress-free life have been constrained since childhood since she is the daughter of a politically engaged family. She believes that marrying a man who isn’t interested in politics will provide her with the happiness she craves.

ALIYAAR AHMED CHAUDHRY

Aliyaar is a man of words. Power has been the only thing he has ever craved in his life. He is the Chaudhry family’s eldest son, the man who plays with fire. He adores children, serves as the CEO of his father’s company, and operates an orphanage in his mother’s name. Aliyaar wishes to enter the political campaign for the position of Prime Minister. He has money, but he requires terrain to capture the troll.

LAYLA ABDULLAH MALIK

Layla is the Malik family’s ideal daughter, royalty in every sense of the word. She is a fashionista, engaged to her cousin, and living a happy life. Little did she know, her life would take an unforeseen turn, leaving her broken.

SEHRYAR AHMED CHAUDHRY

Sehryar is the Chaudhry family’s youngest son. He despises politics but adores his family unconditionally. Even though he was dedicated to his love, he allowed his friend to marry his brother to give him the grounds he needed. Sehryar is a clever individual who serves as the story’s grey character.

ZAROON IBRAHIM MALIK

Zaroon is the Malik family’s eldest grandchild. He is living life to the fullest and is in love with the love of his life. However, his life takes a turn for the worse when his father uses him as a pawn in nasty political games. He was influenced to the point that he tainted his image and had to cancel his engagement.

MY VIEWS ON BEKHUDI BY SALTY

Bekhudi is a tale that will keep you on edge with its never-ending twists and turns. It is a poignant story of power, love, selflessness, freedom, and whatnot.

I admired both Shanzay and Aliyaar and wished them well on their journeys of self-discovery. I adored several of the secondary characters, like Layla and Sehryar. This novel was all about family, friendship, and the value of belonging.

Here are some of the enlightening facts that I devoured:

The leading characters in this story are one-of-a kind. Shanzay is the epitome of beauty and selflessness, whereas Aliyaar is the other name for power.

They are poles apart. But their companionship was the sole reason behind their successful marriage. Even though Shanzay didn’t agree to marry Aliyaar at first, she had a delusion that Sehryar was the one for her, as he could give her the freedom of her life, but she ended up with Aliyaar, and I’m glad she did.

DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS OF BEKHUDI

SLOW BURN

Shanzay and Aliyaar have fantastic chemistry. The attraction they felt for one another was incredible. Shanzay and Aliyaar were brought to life, brilliantly by the author. After the wedding, I enjoyed how their story evolved from friends to soulmates. This was the most amazing slow burn I’ve ever read on Wattpad.

FRIENDSHIP GOAL

Shanzay’s and Sehryar’s friendship was one of my However, at the start of the novel, Seisar was presented as a morally ambiguous guisho who was willing to marry his friend for the sake of his brother’s happiness. He was later revealed to be a morally ambiguous figure. However, as the tale unfolded, I appreciated how the author built his character and restored his reputation. The narrative took an intriguing turn from the moment Shanzay and Sehryar patched up.

SIBLINGS BOND

One of the things I enjoy about this show is seeing the lovely siblings bond, whether it’s the Malik’s or the Chaudry’s. Shanzay and Layla, or Aliyaar and Sehryar, have an incredible understanding, love, and camaraderie. I was in awe when I witnessed the scene where Layla calls off her wedding before spying on her fiancé for her sister and brother-in-law. It made me think about my bond with my siblings.

TWISTS AND TURNS IN BEKHUDI

Bekhudi is full of unexpected twists and turns; we never know what we’ll encounter in the next chapter. The twists never grow boring or overbearing; they have the ideal balance of mystery and lunacy.

PLOTTING OF BEKHUDI

The plot of Bekhudi is outstanding. I have never had the opportunity to read a story that revolves around politics. I was blown away by the theme of this narration. The scene where Shanzay and Aliyaar attend their first political rally post-wedding is one of my favorites Every campaign was better than the previous one. I loved how she researched the political grounds.

CONCLUSION

To summarize, Bekhudi is a melancholic tale of love, betrayal, rivalry, passion, and whatnot—a complete package. The conclusion of this tale wrapped up all the loose ends in a mesmerizing way. I loved the story of Shanzay and Aliyaar and will forever cherish it. I wish we could have a prime minister like Aliyaar (not me fangirling over Aliyaar).

INNOCENT WISH

I truly want this narrative to be adapted into a drama or a series because I’m sure people will go crazy when Shanzay and Aliyaar appear on our screens from the pages. Bekhudi will be well worth your money.

I am sure I will love Beinteha the same way I loved Bekhudi. I wish we could have more stories like the ones of Shanzay and Aliyaar. I was astounded when I read this book. I never thought I’d like a book about the game of power.

OTHER STORIES BY SSSOURSNOTHING

At present, Salty is working on a Bekhudi spinoff named Beinteha. It’s the narrative of Shanzay’s sister, Layla. It’s the journey of Layla and how she finds her soulmate.

RATE & RECOMMENDATION

This was a brilliant story. I couldn’t find a single flaw in it. This story’s creator is a fantastic narrator. I read this book in one day and regretted it since I didn’t want to leave Shanzay and Aliyaar. The depictions of the rallies were so impressive that I initially assumed the author was an elite-class insider. After understanding that the lady was not a member of any political party, I did some studying before scripting the sequences. The author’s efforts in writing this narrative are very extraordinary.

The few Urdu phrases throughout the story lend credibility to the representation. Give it a go, and you’ll have a great time!

The book’s author goes by the pen name Sournothings, and the tale she remains keeps loyal to the quality associated with her pen name, which is’ Unique.’

I strongly suggest this work if you enjoy stories with elements of Muslim representation, slow burn, rivalry, retribution, and power.
